Valley Central hands Kingston another loss

Kingston High’s girls swim team lost its third straight dual meet Thursday, falling 101-85 to Valley Central in Orange County Interscholastic Athletic Association action.

Kingston High’s girls swim team lost its third straight dual meet Thursday, falling 10185 to Valley Central in Orange County Interscholastic Athletic Association action.

The Tigers got wins from the 200-yard freestyle and medley relay teams and individual successes from Kelly Manley in the butterfly (1:03.98), Sabrina Browning in diving (216.95 points) and Angelina Vertullo in the breaststroke (1:15.88).

Manley posted a secondplace finish (1:07.80) in the backstroke. Also with seconds were Emily McCord in the 50-free (27.52) and Alexandra Mitchell in the 100-free (58.98).

Kingston, which is now 3-5, is home to Roosevelt for a 10 a.m. meet on Saturday.
