Kathy J. Glick, 60, of Homosassa, Fla., and a longtime Red Hook resident, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2017, at home.

Born on Aug. 31, 1957, in Kingston, N.Y.; she was the daughter of Joyce (Hitchcock) Kirtson of Kingston, N.Y., and the late George Kirtson.

A 30-year resident of Red Hook, Kathy moved to Florida following her retirement in 2013 as a Grand Jury Court Stenograph­er with the Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office in Poughkeeps­ie, N.Y., a position she held for 24 years.

While living locally, Kathy was a member of Grace Community Church in Lake Katrine, N.Y.

In addition to her mother, Kathy is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Nicholas and Mary Herron of Red Hook, N.Y.; her grandson, Carter Herron of Red Hook, N.Y.; her sisters, Karen Lockrow of Kingston, N.Y., and Melissa Lennon of Clinton Corners, N.Y.; along with extended family, colleagues, and friends.

Kathy was known by many for her absolute kindness, infectious laugh, and her inviting smile.

Friends may call at the Burnett & White Funeral Homes, Red Hook, N.Y., on Friday, Oct. 20, 2017, from 4 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m., Pastor Wes Smith officiatin­g. Interment will be private.

Memorial donations may be made in Kathy’s memory to the North Shore Animal League or Weimaraner Rescue of the North.
