The following items are based on information provided by officials in law enforcement and the criminal justice system.
City of Kingston
• DWI: Martina Spacilova, 26, of Kearny, N.J., was arrested by state police at Ulster at 10:20 p.m. Sunday on Albany Avenue and was charged with drunken driving and driving with a blood-alcohol level exceeding 0.08 percent, both misdemeanors, and with the infractions of illegal signal and failing to stop at a stop sign. Spacilova was released with a ticket for Kingston City Court.
Coxsackie
• Contraband: Shellean V. Blagrove, 28, of Far Rockaway, was arrested by state police at Catskill on Plank Road in the town at 7:45 a.m. Sunday and was charged with introduction of contraband in prison, a misdemeanor, and possession of marijuana, a violation. Blagrove was released with a ticket for Coxsackie Town Court.
• Contraband: Ashley K. Hamilton, 22, of the Bronx, was arrested by state police at Catskill at 7:50 a.m. Sunday on Plank Road in the town and was charged with introduction of contraband in prison, a misdemeanor, and with violating the sanitary code, a violation. Hamilton was released with a ticket for Coxsackie Town Court.
• Contraband: Teshia L. Carlisle, 42, of Harlem, N.Y., was arrested by state police at Coxsackie at 145 Plank Road at 6:26 p.m. Sunday and was charged with introduction of dangerous contraband in prison and possession of a controlled substance, both felonies, introduction of contraband in prison, a misdemeanor, and a violation of the state sanitary code. Carlisle was released with a ticket for Windham Town Court.
Ellenville
• Drugs: David W. McFarland, 30, and Danielle L. Jamieson, 35, both of Ellenville, were arrested by Ulster County sheriff’s deputies at 8:40 p.m. Friday on South Main Street. McFarland was charged with aggravated unlicensed driving, a misdemeanor, and with traffic infractions. Jamieson was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor. Both were released with tickets for Ellenville Village Court.
Hyde Park
• Falsifying business records: Michael Williams, 30, of Germantown, was arrested by state police at Rhinebeck on Monday and was charged with falsifying business records, a felony. Williams is accused of collecting unemployment insurance benefits valued at $6,682.50 from the state Department of Labor while he was gainfully employed. Williams was released with a ticket for Hyde Park Town Court.
Lloyd
• Obstructing governmental administration: Nikut M. Boma, 23, of New York, was arrested by Lloyd town police on Saturday and was charged with trespass, a violation, and with false personation, resisting arrest and obstructing governmental administration, all misdemeanors. Boma was sent to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail.
• DWAI-drugs: Brandon A. Sykes, 22, of Morgantown, Pa., was arrested by Lloyd town police Friday on U.S. Route 9W and was charged with drunken driving and driving while ability impaired by drugs, both misdemeanors, and with traffic violations. Skykes was released with tickets for Lloyd Town Court.
• Falsifying business records: Nicole M. Tomitz, 30, of Poughkeepsie, was arrested by Lloyd police on an arrest warrant on Oct. 10 and charged with falsifying business records, a felony; criminal impersonation and aggravated unlicensed driving, both misdemeanors; and with driving a motor vehicle with a suspended license, a violation. She was released with a ticket for Lloyd Town Court.
Town of Rochester
• DWAI-drugs: Brett A. Thomas, 25, of Kerhonkson, was arrested by state police at Wawarsing at 4:45 p.m. Sunday on Berme Road and was charged with three misdemeanor counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, one misdemeanor count of driving while ability impaired by drugs, two counts of having a controlled substance in a non-original container, a violation and with possession of marijuana, a violation. Thomas was released with a ticket for Rochester Town Court.
Rosendale
• Drugs: Brandon M. Melito, 24, of Kingston, was arrested by Rosendale police at 10:40 p.m. Friday and was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, and with possession of marijuana, a violation. Melito was released with a ticket for Rosendale Town Court.
• DWI: Wade Bishop Jr., 34, of Highland, was arrested by Rosendale police at 10:15 p.m. Saturday on state Route 32. After initially failing to stop for police and turning onto Kallop Road, he was arrested on misdemeanor charges of drunken driving and aggravated drunken driving with a blood-alcohol content exceeding 0.18 percent, more than twice the legal limit, and with the infractions of failure to use designated lane and failure to comply with police. He was released with a ticket for Rosendale Town Court.
Saugerties
• DWI: Christopher Connolly, 26, of Saugerties, was arrested by state police at Coxsackie at 1:57 a.m. Monday on U.S. Route 9W in the town and was charged with drunken driving and aggravated drunken driving, both misdemeanors. Connolly was released with a ticket for Saugerties Town Court.
Windham
• Criminal contempt: Eric S. Choppy, 41, of Hensonville, was arrested by state police at Hunter at 5:02 p.m. Sunday on county Route 40 and was charged with felony criminal contempt (physical menace) and the misdemeanors of criminal mischief and menacing (violating an order of protection). Choppy’s status was unavailable.
Wawarsing
• DWI: Vandankumar Patel, 38, of Ellenville, was arrested by Ulster County sheriff’s deputies at 10:08 p.m. Saturday on U.S. Route 209 after being stopped for traffic violations. Patel was charged with drunken driving and driving with a blood-alcohol level exceeding 0.08 percent, both misdemeanors, and with traffic infractions. Patel was released with a ticket for Wawarsing Town Court.
