Casa Villa wins men’s Lower D title

KINGSTON, N.Y. » With the Kingston Recreation League men’s softball Lower D Division title on the line, Casa Villa rallied for two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning of Game 3 to beat Ulster Excavating and Trucking 13-12.

Ulster Excavating scored a run in the top frame to break an 11-11 tie.

Brandon Hamilton homered to lead Casa Villa.

Dale Kimberlain belted two solo home runs to pace Ulster Excavating in the loss.

In Game 2, Casa Villa put up 17 runs across the last three innings en route to a 24-12 win.

Brandon Hamilton belted two home runs and drove in three runs, Zach Coddington had a homer, a double and two RBI and Tim Shultis homered to lead Casa Villa.

Dale Kimberlain each homered and drove in three runs to carry Ulster Excavating in the loss.

Ulster Excavating rallied for four in the bottom of the seventh to beat Casa Villa 13-9 in the series opener.

Ulster Excavating had trailed until they rallied for seven in the fifth to tie the score at 9-9.

Dave Kimberlain homered and knocked in four RBI, Sean Sharot had three singles and a RBI and Save Shalof belted two singles, a double and drove in three runs to lead Ulster Excavating.

Vinny Mitchell smacked three singles and had a RBI to pace Casa Villa.
