The Bronx
• Criminal contempt: Shawn Gammons, 32, of Catskill, was arrested by state police at Coxsackie at 11:15 p.m. Tuesday at 257 Alexander Ave. in the Bronx and was charged with criminal contempt, a felony. Gammons was sent to the Greene County Jail in lieu of $75,000 bail after his arraignment, pending a court appearance. Further information was unavailable.
Livingston
• Grand larceny: Richard A. Dick, 40, of Copake, was arrested by state police at Claverack, at 2:31 p.m. Tuesday on U.S. Route 9 and was charged with two counts of grand larceny, a felony. Dick was sent to the Columbia County Jail pending a court appearance. Further information was unavailable.
New Paltz
• DWI: Jenna L. Annunziato, 21, of Carmel, was arrested by state police at Ulster at 1:39 am. Wednesday on state Route 32 in the town and was charged with drunken driving and aggravated drunken driving, both misdemeanors, and with failure to keep right, moving from lane unsafely and crossing road hazard markings, all traffic infractions. Annunziato was released with a ticket for New Paltz Town Court.
Red Hook
• Drugs/impersonation: John S. Ostoyic, 42, of Tivoli, was arrested by Red Hook police at 10:30 p.m. Saturday on North Broadway in the village and was charged with aggravated unlicensed driving, a felony, and with criminal possession of a controlled substance (heroin) and criminal impersonation, both misdemeanors. Ostoyic, who is accused of providing police with a fake name, was found to have 15 suspensions on his license and was in possession of heroin, police said. He was sent to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail after his arraignment, pending a court appearance.
Wawarsing
• Contraband in prison: Jose Oquendo, 35, of Middletown, was arrested by state police at Wawarsing at 10:46 a.m. Tuesday at Eastern Correctional Facility, 30 Institution Road, Napanoch, and was charged with possession of dangerous contraband in prison, a felony; and with criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor. Further information was unavailable.
• Drugs: Richard L. Horvath, 26, of Wawarsing, was arrested by state police at Wawarsing at 9:25 p.m. Tuesday on U.S. Route 209 and was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and possession of a hypodermic needle, both misdemeanors, and with possession of marijuana, a violation. Horvath was released with a ticket for Wawarsing Town Court.
