Seniors groups list meeting schedules

HURLEY, N.Y. » The Hurley Seniors will meet Thursday, Nov. 2, at 1;30 p.m. in Schadewald Hall in Hurley Reformed Church, 11 Main St.

The guest speaker will Wally Cook and other members of the Hurley Woodworker­s group. They will have items to share and facts concerning their work and projects.

A short business meeting will follow and refreshmen­ts will be served. There will be an opportunit­y to sign up for the annual Christmas luncheon will be available. All seniors are welcome.

CLERMONT, N.Y. » The Southern Tier Seniors will meet Wednesday, Nov. 1, at 11 a.m. the Clermont Firehouse on Route 9G.

This month, desserts will be provided by members whose last name begins with S through Z.

The speaker will be Cathy Salensky. She will talk about the state’s program that addresses scams. There will be a business meeting at noon. An election of officers will take place, with voting for president, secretary and a trustee.

The group’s last trip for the year will be Thursday, Nov. 16, to the Stony Hill Inn in Hackensack, N.J. People interested in the trip should call JoAnn at (845) 756-2960.

NEW PALTZ, N.Y. » The Retired Men of the New Paltz Community will have its monthly breakfast meeting on Monday, Nov. 6, at 8 a.m. at the New Paltz Plaza Diner, 27 New Paltz Plaza.

Tim Rogers, mayor of the Village of New Paltz, will speak about protecting open space with conservati­on easements to source safe and affordable municipal water.

WOODSTOCK, N.Y. » The Woodstock Senior Citizens Club will meet Wednesday, Nov. 1, at noon at the Community Center, Rock City Road.

There will be a pizza party. In addition, there will be a speaker from the Ulster County Office for the Aging, Eleanor Minsky. She will talk about Medicare.
