Thanksgiving interfaith community service on Nov. 14
KINGSTON, N.Y. » A Thanksgiving interfaith community service will take place Tuesday, Nov. 14, at 7 p.m. at Congregation Emanuel, 243 Albany Ave.
The theme will be “Holding Safe Spaces with and for One Another through Songs of Joy and Gratitude.’ There will be a teaching by the Rev. Filomena Servellon of Holy Cross/Santa Cruz Episcopal Church. Other participants will include a Native American chanting and drumming group, the children’s choir of New Progressive Baptist Church, the Mount Academy Bruderhof Chorus, and the youth and adult choruses of Congregation Emanuel.
Admission is free. All are welcome. There will be potluck pies and refreshments.

East Kingston church will celebrate Mass of Thanksgiving

Mass of Thanksgiving at Saugerties church on Nov. 23
A Mass of Thanksgiving will be celebrated on Thursday, Nov. 23, at 9 a.m. at St. Mary of the Snow-St. Joseph Church Roman Catholic Church, 36 Cedar St.
The congregation is invited to join in the offertory procession, bringing to the altar an unwrapped toy suitable for infant to teen. The toys will be distributed locally at Christmas through the Area of Council of Churches Toy Store. A basket will also be available for monetary donations.
