Christmas parade, tree lighting Nov. 18

The annual Christmas Tree Lighting and Parade of Lights in the village of Rhinebeck is planned Saturday, Nov. 18.

The Tree Lighting is a free afternoon event open to all. Fun activities, food and beverages and holiday music and performances will be provided between 3 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Local clubs and churches will host food and activity booths.

A new booth this year is sponsored by the Rhinebeck High School Model United Nations Club.

The Parade of Lights will line up at Mulberry and East Market at 5 p.m. and will end at the Rhinebeck Bank Plaza. The festivities will culminate with the lighting of the tree in the center of the Rhinebeck Bank parking lot.
