The following items are based on information provided by officials in law enforcement and the criminal justice system.
Catskill
· DWI: Robert G. Aslakson, 44, of Palenville, was arrested by state police at Catskill at Catskill Commons in the town at 5:07 p.m. Monday and charged with the misdemeanors of driving with a bloodalcohol level exceeding 0.08 percent and drunken driving. Aslakson was released with a ticket for Catskill Town Court.
Livingston
· Shoplifting: Clarence Risch Jr., 47, of Hudson, was arrested by Columbia County Sheriff’s deputies at 5:30 p.m. Nov. 2 at the Hannaford supermarket and charged with petit larceny, a misdemeanor. Risch is accused of stealing merchandise. He was released with a ticket for Livingston Town Court.
Lloyd
· DWI: Marlen HernandezTobar, 37, of Poughkeepsie, was arrested by state police at Ulster at 6:14 p.m. Monday on U.S. Route 44/state Route 55 in Lloyd and charged with the misdemeanors of driving with a blood-alcohol level exceeding 0.08 percent and drunken driving, and with the infraction of driving without a license. Hernandez-Tobar was released with a ticket for Lloyd Town Court.
· Criminal contempt: Rajeev M. Odera, 56, of Highland, was arrested by Lloyd police on Monday and charged with the misdemeanor of criminal contempt and the violation of harassment after a domestic dispute. He is accused of violating an Ulster County Family Court Order of Protection. Odera was sent to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $1,000 bail.
· Assault: Reginald Alston, 50, of Poughkeepsie, was arrested by Lloyd police on Nov. 8 and charged with the misdemeanor of assault following a domestic dispute. Alston was released with a ticket for Lloyd Town Court.
Town of Ulster
· DWI: Nicholas A. Guido, 39, of Saugerties, was arrested by town of Ulster police at 3:40 p.m. Sunday on East Chester Street in the town following a two-car accident on East Chester Street with one of the drivers fleeing. Guido was identified as one of the drivers and was found to be intoxicated. He was charged with the misdemeanors of drunken driving, leaving the scene of a personal injury accident and obstruction of governmental administration, and with the infraction of failure to keep right. Guido was sent to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $1,500 jail. Police did not provide the name of the other driver or the other driver’s condition.
Wawarsing
· Prison contraband: Andrew Boyd, 22, of Brooklyn, was arrested by state police at Wawarsing at 4:15 p.m. Monday at the Ulster Correctional Facility, 750 Berme Road, and charged with the felony of prison contraband. Boyd was returned to the facility with an appearance ticket for Wawarsing Town Court.
· Possession of dangerous
contraband in prison: Jose Rivera, 36, of Staten Island, was arrested by state police at Wawarsing at 4:30 p.m. Monday at the Ulster Correctional Facility, 750 Berme Road, and charged with the felony of possession of dangerous contraband in prison. Rivera was returned to the facility with an appearance ticket for Wawarsing Town Court.
Woodstock
· Forcible touching: Robert R. Eklund, 66, of Mount Vision, was arrested by state police at Ulster at 2:47 p.m. Monday and charged with the misdemeanor of forcible touching. Eklund’s arrest followed an incident in the town on Oct. 28. He was released with a ticket for Woodstock Town Court.
