Mark A. Williams, 55, died unexpected­ly Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2017, at his home.

He was born in Poughkeeps­ie, April 25, 1962; a son of the late Edward A. Williams Sr. and Barbara Jean Williams-Banks.

Mark was a longtime Kingston area resident and worked as a barber at several local barbershop­s. Mark enjoyed spending time with his family, playing cards, billiards, and playing instant lottery scratch-offs, fishing, and bowling. He was also an avid Miami Dolphins fan.

In addition to his parents, Mark was predecease­d by his daughter, Arianna Marika Williams; two brothers, Edward A. Williams Jr. and Kenneth A. Williams; and an aunt, Elizabeth Williams.

He is survived by his wife, Andrea E. Williams; two brothers, John A. Williams of Kingston and Kyle E. Banks of Esopus; and two aunts, Pearl Anthony and Joanne Tuthill. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, close friends, and his canine companion, Poobers.

Visitation for friends and family will be Monday starting 11 a.m. at George J. Moylan Funeral Home Inc., 2053 Route 32, Rosendale. His funeral service will follow at noon. Rev. Caroline Berninger, pastor of the Rondout Valley Methodist Church, will officiate. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Stone Ridge.
