City of Kingston

• Drugs: Joseph P. Salamone, 64, of Woodstock, was arrested by state police at Ulster at 12:04 a.m. Wednesday on Wall Street and charged with the misdemeano­r of possession of a controlled substance, the violation of controled substance in a non-original container and the infraction of failing to stop at a stop sign. Salamone was released with a ticket for Kingston City Court.

• DWI: Maria A. Sanchez, 23, of Kingston, was arrested by Ulster County Sheriff’s deputies at about 10:26 p.m. Tuesday on First Avenue and was charged with the misdemeano­rs of driving with a blood-alcohol content exceeding 0.08 percent and aggravated unlicensed driving, in addition to vehicle and traffic violations. Sanchez was released with a ticket for Kingston City Court.

• Drugs/parole violation: Skylar D. Eby, 23, of New Paltz, was arrested by members of the Ulster Regional Gang Enforcemen­t Narcotics Team at about 10:45 p.m. Tuesday on a warrant issued by the state Department of Correction­s Division of Parole. During the arrest, Eby was found to be in possession of nearly one half ounce of powder MDMA, also known as molly, and $4,500. He was charged with the felony of possession of a controlled substance (two counts) along with parole violations. He was sent to the Ulster County Jail without bail.

Marbletown

• Endangerin­g the welfare

of a child/trespass: John B. Wood, 47, of Stone Ridge, was arrested by Ulster County Sheriff’s deputies with assistance from state police Monday in Stone Ridge and charged with two misdemeano­r counts of endangerin­g the welfare of a child. The arrest followed a call at about 7:58 a.m. reporting a person at a school bus stop at the intersecti­on of Pine Bush Road and Vincent Lane who was allegedly screaming profanitie­s and throwing items at the children waiting for a bus to arrive. Wood was arrested at about 9:21 a.m. after a deputies responded to a call from Stilba Lane reporting that a subject had entered a residence without permission, followed a victim into the residence and followed the resident about until 911 was called. In that incident, Wood was charged with the misdemeano­r of trespass. Wood was arraigned in Rosendale Town Court and sent to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail. An order of protection was issued on behalf of the alleged victim.

Rosendale

• Drugs: Delaney A. Taliaferro, 23, of New Paltz, was arrested by state police at Ulster at 8:36 p.m. Tuesday on Springtown Road and charged with the misdemeano­r of possession of a controlled substance. Taliaferro was released with a ticket for Rosendale Town Court.

Saugerties

• Drugs: Joshua M. Rua, 19, of 31 Market St., village of Saugerties, was arrested by Saugerties police on Wednesday on state Route 212 in the town and charged with felony possession of a controlled substance and the misdemeano­r of possession of drug parapherna­lia. During a traffic stop, Rua was found in possession of 20 grams of cocaine. He was sent to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail.

Wawarsing

• Possession of dangerous contraband in prison: Dillan Roldan, 20, of the Bronx, was arrested by state police at Wawarsing at 2:42 p.m. Monday at the Ulster Correction­al Facility, 750 Berme Road, and charged with the felonies of possession of dangerous contraband in prison and possession of a weapon. Roldan, who is serving a two-year sentence for felony possession of a weapon, was returned to the Ulster Correction­al Facility.
