RHINEBECK » Gladys Mary Litz Kullman, 76, passed away at her home in Rhinebeck on Nov. 28, 2017.

Born in Kingston, N.Y., on May 27, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Joseph J. and Gladys Mary (Addis) Betley.

She worked for many years as the office manager for Bottini Fuel, Red Hook.

Gladys took part in many local organizati­ons. She was chaplain of VFW Auxiliary Red Hook Post 7765, the Rhinecliff Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, served on the Board of Directors for Rhinebeck and Hyde Park AARP; and was a member of the Hyde Park Recreation Center for Senior Citizens as well as a volunteer for Bingo at the Moose and the Ferncliff Gift Shop.

She was a parishione­r at St. Christophe­r’s Roman Catholic Church, Red Hook, and St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church, Hyde Park.

She was predecease­d by her husbands, James M. Litz and Richard C. Kullman; her son, James S. (Lourdes) Litz; her parents; siblings, Joseph J. Betley Jr., Helen Dunham, Teresa Overbeek, Stephen Betley, and Laura Tiano; and son-in-law, Tim (Debra) Fletcher.

Gladys is survived by her daughter, Debra A. Litz Fletcher; a sister, Joan Schilling; grandchild­ren, Laurie Amagan, Denise (Matthew) Thornton, Nicholas Fletcher, Stephen J. Litz, and Lauren Fletcher; daughter-in-law, Lourdes Litz; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends of the community.

Calling hours will be held at Dapson-Chestney Funeral Home, 51 W. Market St., Rhinebeck, on Dec. 8, 2017, from 4 to 7 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Christophe­r’s Church, Red Hook, on Dec. 9, 2017, at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Kingston, N.Y.
