Ralph DiMuccio, formerly of Mt. Marion, died Monday, Dec. 4, 2017, at Ten Broeck Commons in Lake Katrine.

Ralph was born in Kingston, N.Y., July 3, 1932. A son of the late Rose (Lynch) and Ralph DiMuccio, Sr.

Ralph was a U.S. Army veteran, serving from 1949 through 1955. He was employed for 37 years, retiring as supervisor at the Kingston Main Post Office.

He was predecease­d by his wife of 43 years Irene “Sis” Law. He was also predecease­d by his sister, Dolores Grier; and his brother, Jack DiMuccio.

Surviving are his sisters, Yolanda Werdel and Bunny Stuart; his brother, Richard DiMuccio; along with many nieces and nephews. His good friends from the post office, neighborho­od, and hiking buddies, will undoubtedl­y miss his friendly and cheerful demeanor and good conversati­ons. Ralph enjoyed spending many hours sunning in the yard with his faithful companion Alex and hiking all the trails with fellow dog lovers. He befriended all of God’s creatures and loved feeding the ducks and birds. He was an avid sports fan and passionate follower of NFL football. He had a vast knowledge of baseball trivia and football.

Cremation and memorial arrangemen­ts are under the guidance of Joseph V. Leahy Funeral Home, Inc. 27 Smith Avenue, Kingston. www.jv leahyfh.com. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 3 to 7 p.m. A service will take place at 7 p.m. Inurnment at Mt. Marion Cemetery.
