Stella M. Manno-Livermore, 79, of Saugerties
Stella M. Manno-Livermore, 79, of Lighthouse Drive, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2017, at Kingston Hospital, surrounded by her family. She was born Aug. 26, 1938, in Los Angeles, Calif., the daughter of the late John Manno and Fay Warshaw. She was raised in the Parkchester area of the Bronx and was a graduate of Evander Childs High School. On Nov. 1, 1958, she married Walter J. Livermore at St. Anthony’s Church in the Bronx. Walter predeceased her on Jan. 28, 2012, after 53 years of marriage. She was a resident of Saugerties since 1958. A woman of great faith, she was a parishioner of St. Mary of the Snow Church in Saugerties. After raising four children Stella began working at Sears Roebuck in Kingston. After retiring from Sears, she worked for Dr. Mark Colligan in Saugerties.
Stella is survived by her four children and their spouses, Charles and Peggy, Andrea and Steven Snelten, John and Katie, and Stella Marie and Joel Jurofcik, all of Saugerties. Also surviving are her grandchildren for whom she had an unending love, Daniel (Marina), Kathleen (Chris Freeburg), Trisha, Michael, and Andrew Livermore, Aidan and Connor Jurofcik; and one great-grandson, Turner Freeburg. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Anna Marie Westergard and her husband Skip and their children Denise (Harry Woltman) and Timothy (Christina), and a niece, Lora Manno. She is survived by several cousins both near and far. She was predeceased by a brother, Robert Manno, and an infant granddaughter, Keira Marie Jurofcik.
Stella’s wishes were to have no visitation.
Arrangements are under the direction of SeamonWilsey Funeral Home Inc., corner of John and Lafayette streets. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary of the Snow Roman Catholic Church, 36 Cedar St., Saugerties, on Saturday, Dec. 16, 2017, at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in the St. Mary of the Snow Churchyard Cemetery.
Family suggests donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital in Stella’s memory. Stella had a great gift of making others feel loved. She had a huge heart and often put others before her. She enjoyed her home and having her family around her. Stella always had a kind word for others.
