Cairo

• Assault: Todd J. Strazzeri, 38, of Greenville, was arrested by state police at Coxsackie at the state police barracks at Catskill, 78 R. McLaren Road Extension, and was charged with assault of a victim 65 or older, a felony. Strazzeri was released with a ticket for Cairo Town Court.

Catskill

• Drugs: Joshua M. Weisinger, 35, of Acra, was arrested by state police at Catskill at 9:05 p.m. Tuesday in Jefferson Heights and was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeano­r. Weisinger was released with a ticket for Catskill Village Court.

• DWAI-drugs/drugs:

Yolanda Almestica-Rivera, 47, of Hudson, was arrested by state police at Coxsackie on state Route 23 at 2:40 a.m. Wednesday and was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, possession of a weapon and driving while ability impaired by drugs, all misdemeano­rs, and possession of marijuana, a violation. Almestica-Rivera was released with a ticket for Catskill Town Court.

Coxsackie

• Contraband: Yanae L. Harris, 20, of Schenectad­y, was arrested at noon Tuesday by state police at Coxsackie at 11260 U.S. Route 9W and was charged with introducti­on of dangerous contraband in prison, a felony, and with a state sanitary code violation. Harris was released with a ticket for Coxsackie Town Court.

• Drugs: Chifton S. Scott, 34, of Schenectad­y, Sherrod Smalls, 44, of the Bronx, and Melanie G. Joseph, 25, of Albany, were arrested by state police at Albany on the New York State Thruway at 3:54 a.m. Tuesday. Scott was charged with two counts of possession of a narcotic drug, two counts of possession of a narcotic drug with intent to sell, and possession of a loaded firearm, all felonies, and the infraction of driving without a license. Smalls was charged with two counts of possession of a narcotic drug, two counts of possession of a narcotic drug with intent to sell, and possession of a loaded firearm, all felonies, and possession of marijuana, a violation. Joseph was charged with two counts of possession of a narcotic drug, two counts of possession of a narcotic drug with intent to sell, and possession of a loaded firearm, all felonies, and possession of marijuana, a violation. Scott and Small were sent to the Greene County Jail. Joseph was released with a ticket for Coxsackie Town court. Further informatio­n was unavailabl­e.

New Baltimore

• Drugs: Victor Mumford, 49, of Utica, was arrested by state police at Albany on the New York State Thruway northbound and was charged with possession of narcotics with intent to sell and possession of a controlled substance (narcotic drug), both felonies; aggravated unlicensed driving, a misdemeano­r; and obstructed vision, an equipment violation. Mumford was released with a ticket for New Baltimore Town Court.

Wawarsing

• Grand larceny: Mark P. Keil, 48, of Kerhonkson, was arrested by state police at Wawarsing at 8:45 a.m. Tuesday at 6721 U.S. Route 209 and was charged with grand larceny and falsifying business records, both felonies. Keil was released with a ticket for Wawarsing Town Court.

• DWI: Marie A. Bruce, 55, of Wawarsing, was arrested by state police at Wawarsing at 2:01 a.m. Wednesday on U.S. Route 209 and charged with drunken driving, a misdemeano­r. Bruce was released with a ticket for Wawarsing Town Court.
