She wrote, “Every single year my husband (Ryan Simon) puts together one of the (community’s) favorites. It’s amazing to see how many people each year come to see the house! I think the most impressing thing of all is that he is only 28 years old and has been decorating our whole house by himself for the last 10 years!.” She added, “That he has such a passion for making people’s holidays that much better at that age is amazing I love him more for it! The family of polar bears is beyond adorable. Beth said she has gotten a lot of compliment­s about her lights and she & her husband continue to do this to promote the holiday spirit of days gone by especially since her children are grown and live out of state. The home of Roger Boughton. “Roger & his family have the best Christmas display. Roger is Kingston policeman by day & their display is exceptiona­l every year,” writes Melissa Darway-Jones, who nominated the home.

“Christmas in Esopus.” The person responsibl­e for the display is Kelly Banks. Nominated by her husband, Frank Banks.

Rifton

• 16 Lake Shore Dr., Rifton Homeowner and person doing the nomination is Franz Heigemeir, who refers to the stained glass windows as, “A minimalist’s approach.” Heigemeir adds, “I did the stained glass windows 17 years ago to commemorat­e the 2000 anniversar­y of the birth of Jesus Christ.”

Lake Katrine • 13 Corwin Place, Lake Katrine.

David Winchester is the person responsibl­e for the lights. The person nominating him is Holly Davide, who adds that this house has music and a light show.

Home of Carl and Kathy Olson. Nominated by their neighbor, Robert Lunan, who writes, “I would like to let all know about my neighbors Holiday lights. He and his wife spent many hours and money to set this all up for all to enjoy. They are very special people.” Also nominated by Chico Campbell.
