The home of Don Bujak, owner and designer of the holiday lights. “We call his lovely display ‘time to make the whole house look like Christmas,’” writes Elizabeth Conley, who nominated the home. • 556 Linderman Ave., Kingston. “Santa in Flight,” Thousands of lights and figures galore. Homeowners are Sally and Butch McCardle. Decorations by “Butch, Sally, and all our kids help. (Jess, Paul, Kenz, & Meg).” • 27 South Prospect St., Kingston. Homeowner is Ernie Houghtaling. Nominated by Heather Sioleski. • 21 Abbey St., Kingston. “Waite’s Winterland,” home of Larry and Alice Waite. ‘Poppy’ Waite is responsible for the decorations. Submitted by Kevin Campbell. Also nominated by Melissa DarwakJones, who added, “This is a dedicated family that deserves recognition.” • 107 Gage St. Kingston. Tara Simon nominated the home. She wrote, “Every single year my husband (Ryan Simon) puts together one of the (community’s) favorites. It’s amazing to see how many people each year come to see the house! I think the most impressing thing of all is that he is only 28 years old and has been decorating our whole house by himself for the last 10 years!.” She added, “That he has such a passion for making people’s holidays that much better at that age is amazing I love him more for it! This year we started a website to keep everyone more up to date, we have Santa every Saturday during the holiday season from 5:30-8:30 (p.m.) he gives out candy canes and takes pictures we then get permission from the parents to upload free of charge to our site!” Visit https://www.facebook. com/SimonsFamilyChristmasLightShow/ • 771 Lincoln Park Place, Kingston. description Meghan Kelly writes, “Once again, Andy & Beth White, did not disappoint with their Christmas light display at their home location of 771 Lincoln Park Place in Kingston. “Since they started doing this 4 years ago, it has become a tradition for my family to drive by to see what they would add this year. The family of polar bears is beyond adorable. Beth said she has gotten a lot of compliments about her lights and she & her husband continue to do this to promote the holiday spirit of days gone by especially since her children are grown and live out of state. The home of Roger Boughton. “Roger & his family have the best Christmas display. Roger is Kingston policeman by day & their display is exceptional every year,” writes Melissa Darway-Jones, who nominated the home.
Esopus • 23 Parker Ave., Esopus
“Christmas in Esopus.” The person responsible for the display is Kelly Banks. Nominated by her husband, Frank Banks.
Rifton
• 16 Lake Shore Dr., Rifton Homeowner and person doing the nomination is Franz Heigemeir, who refers to the stained glass windows as, “A minimalist’s approach.” Heigemeir adds, “I did the stained glass windows 17 years ago to commemorate the 2000 anniversary of the birth of Jesus Christ.”
Lake Katrine • 13 Corwin Place, Lake Katrine.
David Winchester is the person responsible for the lights. The person nominating him is Holly Davide, who adds that this house has music and a light show.

Home of Carl and Kathy Olson. Nominated by their neighbor, Robert Lunan, who writes, “I would like to let all know about my neighbors Holiday lights. He and his wife spent many hours and money to set this all up for all to enjoy. They are very special people.” Also nominated by Chico Campbell.

Marion Smith, who writes, “This year’s display has over 8,000 lights that consists of 7 trees and several lawn decorations. The house emulates a country Christmas theme. I call it a Joyous Joy’s Lane.”
