The Mark Gruber Gallery, 17 New Paltz Plaza, features gift ideas for lastminute shoppers with its 41st Annual Holiday Salon Show, a group exhibition.
Featured in the exhibit are oils, pastels, watercolors, photographs and drawings by some of the area’s favorite artists. They include Jane Bloodgood-Abrams, Paul Abrams, Andrea McFarland, Staats Fasoldt, John Varriano, Marsha Massih, Marlene Wiedenbaum, Hardie Truesdale, Eric Angeloch, Robert Trondsen, Gayle Fedigan, Jim Cramer, Jim Coe, Carolyn Edlund, Mireille Duchesne, Linda Puiatti, Susan Miiller, Lana Privitera, Tarryl Gabel and others.
Check out John Perrella’s wooden bowls and small tables. Meadow is back with her hand built ceramic wares in lovely colors. Always the perfect gifts are clocks by Leonie Lacouette, sculptural candles and art books, including editions by Hardie Truesdale. Don’t forget to visit “Maxine’s Attic,” featuring vintage jewelry and collectables.
A special gift, original art can be affordable. At the gallery, visitors will find original works starting at $50. Whether it’s a whimsical pastel or an important oil to finish a room, original art by the region’s own artists makes a personal gift that will be treasured for years to come. Are you an artist? Expert framing is offered at competitive prices.
For those looking for birthday or anniversary presents, the exhibition runs through January.
