Stabbing victim charged with assault, possession

HIGH FALLS, N.Y. » The High Falls man who was stabbed in a domestic dispute early Wednesday was arrested at the same time as his alleged assailant and charged with assault and drug possession, the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office said Friday.
Dylan T. Walsh, 36, of High Falls, was arrested by deputies about 4:45 a.m. Wednesday and charged with felony possession of marijuana and misdemeanor assault. The arrest followed a 911 call from a High Falls residence reporting a domestic dispute, according to a Sheriff’s Office press release.
The Sheriff’s Office said deputies determined Walsh had been involved in a fight with a woman at the location and that he struck her, causing a physical injury. Deputies also saw about 8 ounces of marijuana in plain view in the residence, the Sheriff’s Office said.
Lisa M. Barros, 37, of High Falls, was arrested at the same time as Walsh and charged with the felonies of assault and possession of a weapon and the misdemeanors of criminal possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana. The Sheriff’s Office said Barros stabbed Walsh with a knife after an argument became physical.
The extent of injuries suffered by Walsh and Barros was not provided. The mugshot of Barros provided by the Sheriff’s Office shows her with bruising to her face.
Walsh was arraigned in Marbletown Town Court and sent to the Ulster County Jail without bail. Barros was sent to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail.
