Gardiner Library offers children’s music class
WHAT: Children’s music class
WHEN: Mondays from Jan. 22 through Feb. 26 from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. (Preregistration deadline Jan. 16)
WHERE: Community room of Gardiner Library, 133 Farmer’s Turnpike, Gardiner
DETAILS: The library will again offer its Music with Miss Amy class for children up to 3 years old. It is a music-and-movement class for children with their caregiver. Classes will include song time, finger plays, bouncing rhymes, instruments, puppets and a lot of fun. The cost is $90 for a six-week session. Pre-registration, with a $10 deposit, is required by Tuesday, Jan. 16, to reserve a spot. The balance is due the first day of class. Space is limited, and the class fills quickly.

Healthy eating in new year focus of program
WHAT: Program, “How to Keep your New Year’s Resolution: Eat Healthy in 2018” WHEN: Jan. 5 at noon
WHERE: Starr Library, 68 W. Market St., Rhinebeck
DETAILS: Roufia Payman will be addressing the subject of eating healthy in 2018. If you’ve made a new year’s resolution to eat healthily, this program will be of help. Roufia is the supervisor of outpatient nutritional counseling and co-facilitator of the National Diabetes Prevention Program at Northern Dutchess Hospital in Rhinebeck. The program is free, but registration is requested.
