Wells leads champions in youth tournament

SAUGERTIES, N.Y. » Austin Wells led a group of seven double winners in the Catskill Mountain Youth 54th annual Association Championship Tournament held at the Saugerties Bowlers Club.

Wells, representing Patel’s Kingston Lanes, won the Class A All Events and singles titles.

Kingston’s Matthew Hayner captured the Class B All-Events crown and joined forces with Stephanie Lamb, Taylor Brady and Zachary Brady on the Livin’ on a Spare squad for the team title.

Ashley Beaver of Kingston also doubled up, taking the All Events and singles crown in Class C.

Saugerties Bowlers Club members Gabby Staby and Kieran Hinchey, who won the Class D doubles crown, also won the Class D team title on the Slow Pokes with Jade Benson and Harper Ferraro.

Cameron Kayden of Kingston captured the All Events championship in Class B and was part of the Half and Half unit with Kami Miller, Kevin Thomas and Hunter Heppner who claimed the Class A team title.

Saugerties’ Ava Stinemire was the Class D singles champ and teamed with Elise Peters to win the Class C doubles title.

The Class D All Events champion was Kenny Winters of Kingston.

Doubles titles went to Kingston’s Aiden Hobart and Izayah Wells in Class A and the Saugerties duo of Jaden Incalcaterra and Michael Peters in Class B.

The Class C team title went to the Saugerties Us Four group comprised of Kore Ferrendino, EJ Coddington, Aero Ferrendino and Dominic Nace.
