Karen L. Howe, 54, of Tillson

TILLSON » Karen L. Howe, 54, of River Road died Saturday, Dec. 16, 2017, at her home.

She was born in Kingston, Oct. 11, 1963; a daughter of Roger Temple (Ruth) of Sawkill and Janet Ryerson Higgins ( Melvin) of Kingston. She was a homemaker and a lifelong area resident. Karen enjoyed gardening, camping, shopping with her grandmother, and boating. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.

In addition to her parents Karen is survived by her husband, Eric H. Howe; a daughter, Jacqueline DeWitt (Robert) from the Town of Ulster; a son, Travis Howe of Tillson; her grandchildren, Eric and Serenity DeWitt; her maternal grandmother, Helen Meier of Florida; and her paternal grandmother, Kate Howe of Tillson. She is also survived by two sisters, Sheri Williams Van Dunk (Carl), Meghan Williams (Josh); a brother, Shawn Williams; t wo stepsisters, Lisa Arold (Gary) and Lynn Piotrowski (Michael); two stepbrothers, Herbert Dixon (Ingrid), and Edward Dixon; her brotherin-law, Bob Howe (Teresa); and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation for family and friends will be 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 30, 2017, at the George J. Moylan Funeral Home, Inc. At 3 p.m. a Service to Celebrate her life will begin led by Rev. Richard Wright.
