Hope G. Tubby passed away at ArchCare Ferncliff Nursing Home on Dec. 26, 2017.

Born in Kingston, N.Y., on April 26, 1922, the daughter of the late James and Louise (Van Norstrand) Pruden.

Hope married Harold A. Tubby on Oct. 22, 1943, at the Trinity Methodist Church in Kingston, N.Y. They celebrated 38 years together until his death on May 23, 1981.

Hope was employed at the Garment Blouse Factory in Kingston, N.Y., for 40 years. She was a member of the Christian Missionary Alliance in Kingston, N.Y., for many years. She was a member of the ILGWU and a member of Ladies Auxiliary, JoyceSchir­ick Post 1386.

She is survived by her daughter, Joyce F. Catellier of Staatsburg N.Y.; one sister, Greta Wolven of Hurley, N.Y., at home; her grandson, Joel P. Morley of New Port Richey, Fla.; a granddaugh­ter Jennifer A. Iacomini (Angelo) of Pomfret Center, Conn.; great-grandchild­ren, Kerry Begin (Michael), Kaitlin Iacomini, Joel Morley III and John Morley; a great-greatgrand­son Angelo Rafaniello. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Hope was predecease­d by her sisters, Norma and Blanche; and a brother, James Pruden.

Hope’s family would like to thank the staff at Ferncliff Nursing Home for the care they provided during her residency from Dec. 27, 2012, until her passing.

Funeral arrangemen­ts are under the guidance of Joseph V. Leahy Funeral Home Inc., 27 Smith Ave., Kingston (www.jvleahyfh. com).

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday, Jan. 5, from 4 to 7 p.m. A service will take place at the funeral home on Saturday, Jan. 6, at 10:30 a.m. Pastor Bob Milsom will officiate. Burial will follow at Wiltwyck Cemetery. Expression­s of sympathy in lieu of flowers may be made in the form of contributi­ons to the Wounded Warriors Project, P.O.
