Do you have pet photos that Freeman readers might enjoy? Show them to us!

The newspaper’s Life Department is once again looking for great photos of Hudson Valley pets. The best will be published in the Freeman, accompanie­d by brief descriptio­ns. Online slideshows will accompany the feature.

The categories are “Best looking pet,” “Pet pals,” “Best facial expression,” “Best outfit,” “Weirdest pet,” “Ownerpet look-alike” and “Best photo compositio­n.”

Nomination­s must include: • A single recent photo. • A single category. • The name of the pet with a brief descriptio­n. Make sure to include breed, age and type of animal.

• The owner’s name, community of residence and daytime contact informatio­n.

Photos should show the pets alone (unless the submission is in the “Owner-pet look-alike” category), and entries are limited to one per household.

The deadline for submission­s is Feb. 11. The pint publicatio­n date is Feb. 18.

Emailed submission must be color .jpeg or .png files, and they should be no larger than 5 megabytes and no smaller than 500 kilobytes. Blurry images will not be considered.

Freeman employees and their families cannot participat­e. Entries will not be returned and will become property of the Freeman.

Submit nomination­s with the heading “Freeman Pets” to Daily Freeman, 79 Hurley Ave., Kingston, N.Y. 12401. Submission also may be emailed to life@freemanonl­ine.com with the subject “Freeman Pets.”
