Harold H. Bohlinger Jr., 67, of Ulster Park
ULSTER PARK » Harold H. Bohlinger Jr., 67, of Ulster Park, died Jan. 11, 2018, at HealthAlliance Hospital, Broadway Campus, Kingston.
Born in Pougkeepsie, he was a son of the late Harold H. and Marjorie Brink Bohlinger.
Harry was a veteran of U.S. Marines, having served during the Vietnam War. He worked for IBM in Poughkeepsie for over 20 years. Harry was a very giving, family-oriented man who was proud of his grandchildren and dedicated to his wife, Helen. He and Helen liked taking vacations, working outside and spending time with their family and beloved dog, Tanner.
Harry is survived by his wife of 21 years, Helen Mattero Bohlinger of Ulster Park, whom he married on Oct. 31, 1996; two children, Jeremy Vining and his wife Kathy Lee of Wappinger Falls and Julie Raftis and her husband Elias of Poughkeepsie; two sisters, Linda Bohlinger of Hyde Park and Martha Lakin and her husband Mark of Poughkeepsie; and a brother- in-law, Mike Shaw. Four grandchildren, Gabrielle, Jacob, Jack, and Lana, and many nieces and nephews, also survive.
In addition to his parents, Harry was predeceased by his sister, Marjorie Shaw.
Harry will be reposing at Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave., Kingston, on Monday, Jan. 15, 2018, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Interment will be held privately.
