Red Hook High’s surging boys basketball team won its seventh consecutiv­e game Friday, defeating Highland 45-33 in a Mid-Hudson Athletic League game.

Jason Davis scored 18 points and Hunter Cole connected for 15 to lead the (7-3) Raiders. Red Hook grabbed a 12-point advantage in the first quarter and never looked back. The defense locked down the victory.

At Hyde Park, Axel Rodriguez, Casey Burke and Patrick Murphy carried New Paltz, combining for 59 points. Rodriguez hit six 3-point field goals en route to a 23-point performanc­e. Burke and Murphy each scored 18. Michael Holohan scored the Huguenots’ other four points.

Amoni Clarke had 18 points and Kevin Henri 15 to carry (3-8) Roosevelt.

At Boiceville, Ellenville used a balanced effort with 10 players scoring as it doubled up on Onteora.

Ramil Johnson had 13 points and Sivon Diconcilio and Seth Vandemark each had nine to lead the Blue Devils.

Miles Eberhard had a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds and Jake Stern scored eight points and had a pair of steals for Onteora. At Marlboro, Jaiden Allen scored 16 of his gamehigh 20 points in the first quarter as the Dukes blitzed Rondout Valley 28-4 in the period.

Eric Grzechowsk­i and Austin Casey each tallied 10 points for Marlboro.

Ben Hikade, shut out in the first half, finished with 15 points to lead Rondout. At the Town of Ulster, Jacob Lydon tossed in 14 points and Matt Funk had 13 to lead Pine Plains to victory.

Aiden Kiernan scored 12 points and freshman Colin Leahy added six to pace John A. Coleman Catholic.
