Saugerties turns back Wallkill
SAUGERTIES, N.Y. » Grace VanRoy scored 14 points and had seven rebounds to lift Saugerties High past Wallkill 58-48 in a MidHudson Athletic League girls basketball game Friday.
Wallkill stayed within four at intermission, but Saugerties widened the gap in the second half.
Anna VanRoy scored 13 points and grabbed five rebounds to help lead the (93) Sawyers.

At Highland, the Huskies improved to 11-1 overall as they rolled over an understaffed Ganders’ squad, which was missing a pair of starters.
Brianna Rozzi scored 17 points, Emily Peterson had 11 points, Molly Stafford had eight points and 10 rebounds, and Arianna Ranalli had four points and seven assists to lead Highland, which held Rondout to single digits in each quarter. The Huskies stepped it up with starter Jayda Jackson out sick.

At Poughkeepsie, Olivia Zykoff had a big all-around game with 16 points, nine rebounds, three blocks and three assists as Spackenkill cruised past the Blue Devils.
Noelle Mancini (12 points, 12 rebounds, five blocks), Issy Herrera (10 points, three assists), Avery Rossman (six points, three steals) and Maya-K Johnson (four points, six rebounds) also had major contributions for the (6-3, 4-0) Spartans.
