The following items are based on information provided by officials in law enforcement and the criminal justice system.
Catskill
· Grand larceny: Robert P. English, 56, of Athens, was arrested by Catskill police at 1:18 p.m. Jan. 10 at police headquarters, 422 Main St., and charged with the felony of grand larceny of a credit card. English was released with an appearance ticket for Catskill Village Court.
· Fugitive from justice:
Antoinette J. Catalano, 24, of Catskill, was arrested by Catskill police at 3:47 p.m. Jan. 12 at Hop-o-nose, Apt. 9, and charged with the felony of fugitive from justice. Catalano was sent to the Greene County Jail without bail and is awaiting extradition to Virginia on its arrest warrant.
· DWI: Christina M. Ramirez, 32, of Catskill, was arrested by Catskill police at 3:09 a.m. Saturday on West Main Street and charged with the misdemeanors of driving with a blood-alcohol level exceeding 0.08 percent and drunken driving. Ramirez was released with an appearance ticket for Catskill Town Court.
· Shoplifting: Alexandra Maria Feria, 25, of Brooklyn, was arrested by Catskill police at 7 p.m. Jan. 12 at the Walmart store, 30 Catskill Commons, and charged with the misdemeanor of petit larceny. Feria was sent to the Greene County Jail in lieu of $750 bail.
· Shoplifting: Vincent Zito, 25, of Brooklyn, was arrested by Catskill police at 7:26 p.m. Jan. 12 at the Walmart store, 30 Catskill Commons, and charged with the misdemeanor of petit larceny. Zito was sent to the Greene County Jail in lieu of $1,000 bail.
· Shoplifting: Contessa Cavaliere, 21, of Hunter, was arrested by Catskill police at 3:25 p.m. Jan. 16 at the Walmart store, 30 Catskill Commons, and charged with the misdemeanor of petit larceny. Cavaleire was released with an appearance ticket for Catskill Town Court.
Coxsackie
· Introduction of contraband in prison: Francisca V. Reyes, 45, of New York, was arrested by state police at Coxsackie at 10:20 a.m. Sunday at the Greene County Correctional Facility and charged with the felonies of introduction of contraband
in prison and possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell. Reyes was released from the Greene County Jail on Sunday after posting $5,000 bail.
· Possession of prison
contraband: Haley R. Maloney, 24, of Waterbury, Conn., was arrested by state police at Coxsackie at 11:25 a.m. Sunday at the Greene County Correctional Facility and charged with the felony of possession of prison contraband. Maloney was released from the Greene County Jail on Sunday after posting $2,500 bail.
Lloyd
· Grand larceny/criminal
contempt: Joseph E. Tippa, 42, of Poughkeepsie, was arrested by Lloyd police on Saturday following a domestic dispute and was charged with the felony of grand larceny and the misdemeanors of criminal contempt, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and petit larceny. Tippa is accused of taking another person’s credit card, cash and a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent. He was
sent to the Ulster County Jail without bail.
Milan
· Hunting violations: Patrick Somma, 28, of Peekskill, and John Hayworth, 24, of Mount Kisco, were arrested by New York State Department of Environmental Conservations officers on Jan. 6 at the Lafayetteville Multiple Use Area parking lot and were both charged with having a loaded gun in a motor vehicle, a violation. Officers said Somma and Hayworth were scouting for coyotes and planned on hunting for them at night. They were issued appearance tickets for Milan Town Court.
Saugerties
· Driving without an ignition interlock device: Alyssa M. Mayer, 27, of Saugerties, was arrested by Ulster County Sheriff’s deputies at about 6:20 p.m. Saturday on U.S. Route 9W in the village and charged with the misdemeanors of aggravated unlicensed driving and driving without a court-ordered ignition interlock device. Mayer’s driving privileges were revoked after a previous conviction for drunken driving. Additionally, there was a warrant for her arrest held by the Kingston police for an assault charge and she was turned over to Kingston police for processing.
Town of Ulster
·DWI: Rena E. Patenaude, 40, of Kingston, was arrested by town of Ulster police at 12:51 p.m. Sunday after officers responded to a property damage motor vehicle accident in the parking lot of the Dollar Tree store on Ulster Avenue. Patenaude was charged with the misdemeanor of drunken driving and with the infraction of failing to keep right. Patenaude was released with a ticket for Ulster Town Court.
· Drugs: Kenneth C. Jones, 31, of Roxbury, was arrested by Ulster County Sheriff’s deputies at about 11:30 p.m. Friday on Washington Avenue and charged with the misdemeanor of possession of a controlled substance and the violation of possession of marijuana. A police unit with a police dog stopped Jones for an equipment violation and determined he was in possession of marijuana and an electronic cigarette contain- ing concentrated cannabis. Jones was released with a ticket for Ulster Town Court.
Wawarsing
· Burglary: Joseph L. Petras, 31, of Kerhonkson, was arrested by Ulster County Sheriff’s deputies at about 11:20 a.m. Saturday and charged with the felony of burglary and the misdemeanor of false personation. Deputies responded to a gas station for a reported disturbance and learned that Petras allegedly entered a residence in the area and attempted to remove property. He was located by police dogs and provided a false name to officers. Petras was sent to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail.
