Allen, Casey lead Marlboro to win

Jaiden Allen had 26 points and 12 rebounds, as Marlboro High edged Saugerties 7672 in a Mid-Hudson Athletic League boys basketball game Tuesday.

The Sawyers had a 16-13 lead at the end of the first quarter, but an 18-12 second gave the (15-2) Dukes a 31-28 lead at the half. Marlboro extended that advantage to 51-45 heading into the final period of play.

Austin Casey had 23 points, eight rebounds and six assists, while John Pergugino added 20 points to lead Marlboro.

Dior Johnson scored a game-high 33 points and Liam Schoonmake­r added 13 to pace Saugerties. At Highland, ahead 4125 at the half, the Huguenots held the Huskies to single digits in the third and fourth quarters to roll to victory.
