Lake Street Dive to perform at UPAC in Kingston on May 6
WHAT: Lake Street Dive WHEN: Tickets go on sale on Friday, March 2 at 11 a.m. for the Sunday, May 6 at 8 p.m. performance. WHERE: Ulster Performing Arts Center, 601 Broadway, Kingston.
DETAILS: Lake Street Dive is “a fascinating blend of influences and complexity: jazz at heart, with an alternative D.I.Y. sensibility and a passion for classic rock and garage aesthetics,” according to the Bardavon in a news release. Mikaela Davis will open the show. Tickets are $49 for orchestra seats; $39 for balcony seats. Every ticket purchased online for Lake Street Dive includes a CD of the new album “Free Yourself Up,” set for release on May 4.

‘Romeo and Juliet’ ballet screening at Rosendale Theatre
WHAT: Live capture of Bolshoi Ballet in New Staging of ‘Romeo and Juliet,’ WHEN: April 8 at 2 p.m. WHERE: Rosendale Theatre, 408 Main St, Rosendale.
DETAILS: The Bolshoi will back at Rosendale Theatre in “Romeo and Juliet” in choreographer Alexei Ratmansky’s adaptation set to Sergei Prokofiev’s romantic score—reigniting the story of literature’s most celebrated star-crossed lovers. This live capture in HD from Moscow will be screened as the Dance Film Sunday offering. 185 minutes. $12, $10 for members; $6 for children 12 and under.
