Marlboro, Ellenville in B semis

Second-seeded Ellenville High overcame Highland’s rally and staged a comeback of its own Tuesday night, beating the Huskies 57-38 in a Section 9, Class B boys basketball quarterfinal game.

Justin Guiliano scored a careerhigh 21 points to lead the (17-3) Blue Devils, who will play host to Spackenkill 6 p.m. today in the semifinals.

Highland erased a five-point halftime deficit and led 38-34 heading into the fourth quarter.

Ellenville, however, turned it completely around. It shut out Highland in the fourth, scoring 23 consecutive points to pull away.

Maurice Williams ignited that final surge with an early 3-point field goal and Ray Younger came off the bench to score six straight points.

Younger finished with eight points and four rebounds for the (17-3) Devils. Ramil Johnson had eight points and nabbed 10 re-

bounds. Marlboro 66, O’Neill 51

At Marlboro, the topseeded Dukes advanced to the semifinal on the other

side of the Class B bracket. They will host Fallsburg 6 p.m. today.

Jaiden Allen connected for 32 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead (18-3) Marlboro. Allen is now just seven points away from the 1,000-point milestone.

Austin Casey also had

a big game for the Dukes with seven points, 11 rebounds, eight assists and four steals. A.J. Musacchio chipped in with nine points.

Darius Boben had 18 points and Hector Borgos scored 11 to pace James I. O’Neill.
