WHAT: Reading of “Annapurna” WHEN: March 24 at 8 p.m. (snow date March 25 at 2 p.m.) WHERE: Mescal Hornbeck Community Center, 56 Rock City Road, Woodstock DETAILS: Performing Arts of Woodstock continues its Play Reading Series with “Annapurna” by Starr White. Twenty years ago, Emma left her cowboy-poet husband Ulysses in the middle of the night, taking their 5-year-old son. Having heard that Ulysses is very ill, she tracks him down to a filthy trailer in the mountains of Colorado and finds him wearing nothing but an oxygen tank and an apron to protect himself as he fries bacon. Surprise quickly moves to compassion and rage as they review their lives. Tickets are $12, and no reservations are required.
