Music fest adds acts, firms lineup, sets ticket prices

HUNTER, N.Y. » Organizers of the 14th annual Mountain Jam music festival have announced the performer lineups for each day, as well as a few additions to the list of acts scheduled to appear.

Tuesday’s announceme­nt came about two months after the initial list of performers — including altJ, The Decemberis­ts, Jack Johnson and George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic — was unveiled for the June 15-17 festival at Hunter Mountain in Greene County.

Among acts newly added to the lineup are Alice Merton, who had a hit with “No Roots” in 2017; Jane Lee Hooker, a New York City-based blues band; the Woodstock-based Paul Green Rock Academy; the New Paltz duo Ratboy Jr.; and Steve Gunn.

Tickets, available at www.mountainja­m.com, are $99 for single-day general admission, $194 for a three-day general admission pass, $249 for a singleday VIP ticket and $610 for a three-day VIP pass.

VIP tickets include access to a June 14 pre-concert with Andy Frasco & The U.N., as well as The Other Brothers, 4 Gun Ridge and Blueberry.

The lineups for each day are as follows.

Friday, June 15: Sturgill Simpson, Portugal The Man, Jenny Lewis, Rag’n’Bone Man, Turkuaz, Chicano Batman, Lewis Capaldi, Steve Gunn, Sarah Borges and the Broken Singles, Woods, Andy Frasco & The U.N., Jocelyn and Chis Arndt, Mapache, Sweet Marie, Jane Lee Hooker, Yard Sale.

Saturday, June 16: alt-J, The War on Drugs, The Decemberis­ts, George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic, The Record Company, Anderson East, The Felice Brothers, Alice Merton, Everything Everything, Andy Frasco & The U.N., Thomas Wynn & The Believers, The Stone Foxes, Liz Vice, Jack Broadbent, Honeysuckl­e, The Other Brothers, Paul Green Rock Academy, Ratboy Jr.

Sunday, June 17: Jack Johnson, Father John Misty, Kurt Vile & The Violators, Mondo Cozmo, Son Little, Jade Bird, John Craigie, Eric Tessmer Band, Larkin Poe, Oliver Hazard, Sydney Worthley, Cicada Rhythm, Paul Green Rock Academy, Ratboy Jr.

The 2018 Mountain Jam also will include yoga classes each morning, art displays and supervised activities for children.

Last year’s Mountain Jam headliners were Peter Frampton and Tom Petty. (Petty died four months later at age 66.) Other headliners have included Beck and Wilco in 2016; the Black Keys and Robert Plant in 2015; and the Allman Brothers Band in 2014.
