Luella M. Baker of Accord, N.Y., passed away on March 14, 2018, at the Golden Hill Health Care Center. She was 95 years old.

Luella was born on Jan. 2, 1923, in Whitfield; she was the daughter of the late Elmer J. and Flossie (Alexander) Osterhoudt.

Luella was a lifelong resident of Accord, where, along with her husband, Kenneth, they raised their family. She worked as a seamstress for JM Originals in Ellenville and also for many years was a food concession worker for the Accord Speedway when it first opened in the ’60s. Luella was a life member of the Accord Ladies Auxiliary, a member of the Women’s Willing Workers Group and the Golden Age Seniors in Accord. She loved Atlantic City and playing slots and bingo. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Luella is survived by her children, Carol (Keith) Kelder of Stone Ridge, Robert (Carol) Baker of Ocala, Fla., Donna Stanley of Accord, Martha (Gordon) Quick of Accord, and Donald (Theresa) Baker of Saugerties; her sister, Ruth Gundberg of Ellenville; 11 grandchild­ren, 27 great-grandchild­ren, and 16 greatgreat-grandchild­ren. Besides her husband, Kenneth, Luella was predecease­d by her granddaugh­ter, Cathy Varga; and her brother, Harry Osterhoudt.

Visiting will be held on Sunday, March 18, 2018, from 3 to 6 p.m. at Humiston Funeral Home, 30 42nd St., Kerhonkson. A celebratio­n of life service will begin at 10 a.m. Monday, March 19, 2018. Burial will follow at Accord Rural Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributi­ons may be made in Luella’s name to the Accord Ladies Auxiliary, P.O. Box 163, Accord, N.Y. 12404, and/or to the Kerhonkson-Accord First Aid Squad, P.O. Box 67, Kerhonkson, N.Y. 12446.
