Mrs. Elnora Decker passed away peacefully from complicati­ons of COPD on March 14, 2018, in her home, in the company of immediate family. She was 97.

Elnora was the daughter of Gertrude and Charles Burger, and was born in Kingston, N.Y. She attended Kingston High School and secretaria­l school, and was employed in various administra­tive positions until she met and married John E. Decker, also of Kingston. She worked for a number of years as secretary to the vice president, Human Resources, at Western Printing in Poughkeeps­ie until retirement.

She is survived by two sons, John C. Decker of Plymouth, Mass., and Robert E. Decker of Santa Fe, N.M.; their respective spouses, Anne Decker and Suzanne Serpas Decker; four grandchild­ren, Rachel Powers, Houston, Texas, Nicole Caulfield, East Walpole, Mass., Christina Decker, Albuquerqu­e, N.M., and Laura Decker, Santa Fe, N.M.; and six greatgrand­children.

Elnora will be remembered for her always positive attitude, optimism, and her lifelong concern for others, human and animal.

At her request, services will be private.
