The Left’s recipe for America’s destruction
Dear Editor, Our enlightened Founding Fathers wrote a great Declaration of Independence, “under God,” and a Constitution that other nations only dream of having. The main ideas of our Constitution are “limited government” and freedom for all of its citizens. All Americans have equality before God and the laws of our country.
The Left has destroyed the original use of the word “equality” by adding to it such phrases as “equality of income” (redistribution of wealth). It is not in our Constitution to take from the wealthy and give to those less wealthy.
The Left has divided us by male-female, rich-poor and black-white. They seek to divide and conquer. The Communist Party of the Left believed this more than 50 years ago. To destroy America from within, became their goal. Destroy the churches, take over the media and our public schools and universities and enlist Hollywood’s harmful influence on our young people was their vision of a weak America.
The Left works persistently to take God and our JudeoChristian heritage out of our American culture. No more prayer in schools was another leftist victory.
Redefining marriage is their most recent attack on our culture.
The Left said more welfare and food stamps would save the family. We now see the results: less individual responsibility, more people not working, more government and more votes for Leftist politicians. The American family, single mothers, men under attack, and an increase in absent fathers is a direct result of their policies.
The federal government wants to stop “illegal” immigration and arrest those who break our laws and hurt our citizens. The Left allows “sanctuary cities” and protects “illegal” criminals while ignoring the rights of American citizens. Do people leave their doors wide open for anyone to come in and harm them?
The Left wants to limit the Second Amendment. Hitler, Russia, China, North Korea and Castro’s Cuba also limited citizens’ rights to bear arms.
Finally, our great cities, under the Left’s control are being destroyed. Failing schools and public safety is a major problem, while more “sanctuary cities” and attacking our law enforcement officers is a product of the Left.
