Robert A. Lammon, 90, a lifelong resident of Kingston, died Thursday, March 23, 2018, peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family.

Born in Kingston, he was a son of the late Daniel and Mary Baker Lammon. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during the Korean War. Bob was a journeyman and book binder for Western Publishing Co., Poughkeeps­ie, for 24 years. Bob then became a representa­tive for Rios NY Realty as a licensed Realtor and associate broker before retiring. Bob was a life member of the D.A.V. and Joyce-Schirick Post 1386, VFW; a member of the Western Retirees; a lifelong parishione­r of St. Peter’s Church, Kingston; a life member of the Knights of Columbus Third and Fourth Degrees; a retired member of the Graphic Communicat­ions Internatio­nal Union; and a member of the Mannerchor-Damenchor. He enjoyed woodworkin­g and traveling with his family. Bob was a very devoted husband, father, grandfathe­r, and great-grandfathe­r.

Bob was a loving father to his two children, Cathy Anne Lammon Smith and her husband Michael Smith of Kingston, and Robert A. Lammon Jr. of Kingston; his grandchild­ren, Nicole Marie Tolman and her husband, Jason Garcia, and Kristy Anne Tolman, Danielle Lammon and her husband Brandon Casucci, Megan Kruzen and her husband Anthony, Robert Lammon III, and Christine Elizabeth and Kyle Lammon and Kayla Garrison; his great-grandchild­ren, Elisa Cruz, Anthony and Ryan Kruzen and Dylan Casucci. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to his parents, Bob was predecease­d by his wife, Marie R. Qualtiere Lammon, and two brothers, Raymond Lammon and Daniel Lammon.

Bob will be reposing at Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave., on Sunday, March 25, 2018, from 3 to 7 p.m. A service by the Knights of Columbus, Kingston Council No. 275 will take place at 6:15 p.m., and a service by Joyce-Schirick VFW Post 1386 will take place at 6:30 p.m.

The funeral procession will form from the funeral home on Monday at 9 a.m.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at St. Peters Church.

Entombment with military honors by the JoyceSchir­ick VFW Post 1386 will follow in Wiltwyck Mausoleum.
