-

Adelaide Grace Ferguson, 91, of Huntington Station, N.Y., died March 26, 2018, after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease.

She was the daughter of Salvatore and Stella Abbene. Addy served in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II. She married Edward Ferguson in September 1949. They moved from Astoria, N.Y., to Long Island, where they lived for many years. Addy worked as a real-estate broker, but her true passion was her singing. She sang in the church choir at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Bethpage, was a longtime member of the Babylon Choral, and provided many performances with the Sr. America group. She was known for her comical renditions of her favorite tunes with Edna and Wally, “We 2 and Me too.”

Addy was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Ferguson, and sister, Lillian Cunningham.

She is survived by Victoria Crowley (Jim), Randall Ferguson (Lynda); grandchildren, Heather Crowley (greatgrandchildren Mason and Marlee), Jonathan Crowley, Joshua Ferguson, and Katherine Cooney. She also leaves her sister, Silvia Quenstedt, and dear friends, Edna Kauffman and Joan Hartford, who supported her for years as she struggled with her illness. We are grateful for the wonderful care she received during her last days at Ten Broeck Commons. Addy has chosen to leave her body to medical science in hopes of bettering the understanding of Parkinson’s and Lewy Body Dementia.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at Nocello’s, Northport, N.Y.
