The Met Live in HD screens at the Bardavon

The Met Live in HD series continues on Saturday, March 31, at 1 p.m. with a performanc­e of Mozart’s comedy “Cosi fan tutte (Women are like That”)” on Saturday, March 31, at 1 p.m. at the Bardavon, 35 Market St., Poughkeeps­ie.

In “Cosi fan tutte,” a cynical older gentleman bets his two young friends that their sweetheart­s, who are sisters, will betray them if given a chance. In the original production, set in 18thcentur­y Naples, the men pretend to go off to war, reappear disguised as wealthy Albanians and promptly begin wooing each other’s girlfriend­s.

The cast features Amanda Majeski as the conflicted Fiordiligi; Serena Malfi as her sister, Dorabella; Tony Award winner Kelli O’Hara as their feisty maid, Despina; Ben Bliss and Adam Plachetka as the sisters’ fiancés, Ferrando and Guglielmo; and Christophe­r Maltman as the cynical Don Alfonso.

There will be a pre-opera talk by Leslie Gerber 30 minutes before curtain time.

Tickets are $28 for adults, $26 for Bardavon members and $20 for children ages 12 and under.
