KINGSTON » Kenneth W. Sikula, 56, of Hoffman Street, died April 3, 2018, at home.
Born April 25, 1961, in Manhattan, the son of Frances B. (Kemlage) Sikula and the late John Sikula.
Ken was known as a “Wood Floor Guru” and the “Sultan of Shine.” For the past 40 years he was the owner of Kenneth Sikula’s Wood Floors and Half Moon Carpentry. A local musician and bass player extraordinaire, he was a member of many bands including, Lava, Saints and Sinners, Brothers Hambone and the Complications. Ken was a friend of Bill W. for over 25 years. A lover of animals, he truly believed that animals were sentient beings.
Surviving in addition to his mother is his wife, Jennifer (McGinnis) Sikula; his son, Joshua Steward; his brothers and sisters,
Thomas J. Sikula and his wife Tracey, Sue Anne Pape and her husband Randy, Katrine Seibel and her husband Christopher; nieces and nephews, James Seibel and his wife Shelby, Nicole Seibel, Jeremy Sikula, Brooke Sikula and Danielle Sikula; his mother in-law, Anna McGinnis; his brother-in-law, Glenn McGinnis; his extended nieces and nephews on the McGinnis side of the family. Aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.
Cremation and memorial arrangements are under the guidance of the

Leahy Funeral Home, Inc., 27 Smith Ave., Kingston. ww.jvleahyfh.com Memorial visitation will be held Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. A memorial service will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at the Fair Street Reformed Church. Reverend Kendra VanHouten will officiate.
