City of Kingston
• Drugs, contraband: Kelly D. Davis, 43, of Kingston, was arrested by Ulster County sheriff’s deputies at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Ulster County Jail and was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, both felonies, and promoting prison contraband, a misdemeanor. Deputies said a Sheriff’s Office Corrections K-9 unit checking visitors to the jail detected narcotics on Davis, who was found with a large quantity of cocaine in her belongings. Davis was arraigned and sent to the jail without bail pending an appearance in Kingston City Court.
Saugerties
• Reckless endangerment: Cameron E. Davis, 18, of Kingston, was arrested by Ulster County sheriff’s deputies at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at a residence in Saugerties and was charged with reckless endangerment and reckless driving, both misdemeanors, and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation. Deputies said they tried to stop Davis’ car for an equipment violation, but he failed to stop and drove off at a high rate of speed through the Barclay Heights neighborhood of Saugerties. He was found a short time late, arrested, and released with appearance tickets for Saugerties Town Court. Deputies were assisted by state police and town police from Saugerties and Ulster.
