Robert J. Perry Sr., 68, of Wilbur Avenue, Kingston, N.Y., died at HealthAlliance Hospital, Broadway campus, on Thursday, April 5, 2018.
Born in Kingston, Sept. 18, 1949, he was a son of the late Octave J. and Mary (Smith) Perry Huckins.
Bob was a veteran of the Vietnam War, having served in the United States Navy. He was employed as night foreman for the Kingston Department of Public works until his retirement. He was a life member of Joyce-Schirick Post 1386 VFW and member of American Legion Post 1748, town of Ulster. He was a Corvette enthusiast and enjoyed motorcycle riding.
Surviving are two sons, Thomas J. Perry (Jaime Cesana) and Christopher J. Perry (Marianna Karlson-Boggs); grandchildren, Freddie, Emmie, Gianna, and Logan Perry; girlfriend, Shelly Barnum; siblings, twin sister Barbara Cole and her husband Dan; brother, Douglas Perry; sister Patricia Smith and her husband John; brother, Octave J. Perry Jr. and his wife Helen; and his former wife, Yvonne Perry. Many nieces and nephews also survive. His son, Robert J. Perry, Jr.; a sister, Kathy Sutton; and brother, Felix J. Perry, predeceased him.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Inurnment will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Saint Mary’s Cemetery. VFW Ritual 6:45 p.m. Thursday evening.
