Ann Page Kirkpatrick, 87, of Westfield, Indiana
WESTFIELD, INDIANA. » On Jan. 20, 2018, Ann Marie Page Kirkpatrick was reunited with the love of her life, Oscar “Pat” Kirkpatrick, in Heaven.
Ann was born May 9, 1930 to Henry C. and Annette (Nettie) Campbell Page in Astoria, Queens, N.Y. The family moved to Kingston, N.Y., in 1937. Ann was a graduate of Kingston High School, class of 1948, and Keuka College, (BSN) class of 1952.
In June 1952, Ann and Pat met, and three weeks later were engaged. They married on Nov. 8, 1952. Ann was active as a Den Mother in Cub Scouts, a Group Leader for Brownies as well as in various groups at Old Dutch Church. Ann was a Registered Nurse and worked at Kingston Hospital (ER and ICU). In 1970, Ann was certified as a Public Health Nurse and went to work at Ulster County Public Health Department.
In 1980, Ann and Pat moved to East Bridgewater, Mass. She enjoyed “retirement” in Massachusetts until she found her dream job as administrator of the Bridgewater Visiting Nurse Association, where she worked until her actual retirement in 1992. After retirement, Ann and Pat enjoyed traveling in their motor home. They moved to Columbus, Ind., in 1994, where they remained until Pat’s death in April 2001. Ann moved back to Kingston in 2002, to Sioux City, Iowa, in 2003, to Carmel, Ind., in 2008, and remained in the Indianapolis area until her death.
Survivors include Ann’s brother, the Rev. H. Chase (Connie) Page of Montrose, Pa.; her children, Rob (Debbie) Kirkpatrick of Carmel, Ind., Bruce Kirkpatrick of Kingston, N.Y., and Jane (Steve) Merritt of Sioux City, Iowa.; her grandchildren, Kristine (Mark) Daley of West Hurley, N.Y., Page Kirkpatrick of Chicago, Ill., Katherine Merritt of Iowa City, IA., and Garen Merritt of Sioux City, IA.; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Friday, April 13, 2018, 7 to 9 p.m., in lieu of calling hours, the family invites you join them in the conference room at the Residence Inn in the Town of Ulster to share memories and stories.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 14, 2018, at Old Dutch Church in Kingston, N.Y. The family will be present at noon to greet you. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Port Ewen.
