Dutchess Office for Aging picks honorees

DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. » Ronald Seeley of Hyde Park was chosen as the Dutchess County Male Senior Citizen of the Year by the Dutchess County Office for the Aging Advisory Board.

Patricia Malin of Pleasant Valley was chosen as the county’s Female Senior Citizen of the Year. Barbara and Ronald Nolan of Pleasant Valley were chosen as the county’s Senior Citizen Couple of the Year. In addition, Jack Fenton of Hyde Park and Joy Godin of Wingdale were selected to receive Senior Achievemen­t Awards.

Those selected were chosen from nomination­s submitted by the community.

Those chosen will be honored at the annual Celebratio­n of Aging luncheon on Monday, May 21, at noon at Villa Borghese, 70 Widmer Road, Wappingers Falls. The event will also honor Dutchess County couples married for 70 or more years and residents who will be 100 years of age or more any time in 2018. The public is invited to attend the celebratio­n, which features a full buffet lunch at a cost of $25 per person or $250 for a table of 10 if payment is received no later than Friday, April 27. After that date, tickets (if they are still available) are $40 per person.
