Kingston turns aside Rondout

Josh Timbrouck had five goals and an assist, as Kingston High remained unbeaten in boys lacrosse by defeating Rondout Valley 18-12 in the Dan Barnes Memorial game on Friday.

Jack Uhl and Kevin Collins added three goals apiece for the (4-0) Tigers in the annual contest that honors the memory of 2003 Kingston graduate Dan Barnes, who died in 2015 at the age of 30 from cancer.

Justin Longo had two goals and four assists in the win, with Ty Carpino (two assists), Matt Amato, Kobi Buffa, John Prizzi and Jonte Wright scoring a goal each. Nick Breithaupt and Dylan Allen, meanwhile, combined to make six saves for Kingston, which outshot (3-2) Rondout 30-18.

Jarek Rawl had six goals and an assist to lead the Ganders, with Sam Serrano adding four goals. Jason Perez had two goals and three assists in the loss, with Dylan Dubitzky and Spencer Sands adding an assist each. Ian Houck, meanwhile, stopped 12 shots for Rondout. Highland 17, New Paltz 3

At Highland, Chris Hammond scored six goals, while Jack Young added four goals and an assist to lead the (2-3, 1-0) Huskies.

Roger Hegeman had three goals and an assist, while Michael Caso added two goals and an assist for Highland, which led 14-2 at halftime. Jesse Weaver (assist) and Christian Canino scored goals, with Danny Rusk adding five assists in the win. Lenny Casabura, meanwhile, made seven saves for the Huskies.

Daegan Cronin scored two goals, while JC Rigano added a goal for the (1-2, 0-1) Huguenots. Luciano Crimi had an assist, while Giovanni Guide stopped nine shots in the loss.
