Cairo
• DWI: Patricia A. Brand, 74, of Cairo, was arrested by state police at Coxsackie at 8:20 p.m. Saturday on county Route 39 on misdemeanor charges of drunken driving and operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol content exceeding 0.08 percent. She was also issued a traffic ticket for failure to keep right on a two-lane road. Brand was released with tickets for Cairo Town Court.
• DWI: Cory A. Schoenewolf, 23, of Leeds, was arrested by state police at Coxsackie at 1:35 a.m. Sunday on Main Street on misdemeanor charges of drunken driving and operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol content exceeding 0.08 percent. Schoenewolf was released with tickets for Cairo Town Court.
• Stalking: William E. Casivant, 20, of Cairo, was arrested by state police at Catskill at 7:20 p.m. Saturday at 94 Jerome Ave. on misdemeanor charges of stalking, illegal communication, criminal contempt (disobeying a court order) and aggravated harassment. Casivant was released with an appearance ticket for Cairo Town Court.
Catskill
• DWI: David J. Hundertmark, 50, of Leeds, was arrested by state police at Coxsackie at 4:32 a.m. Sunday on Allen Street on misdemeanor charges of drunken driving and aggravated drunken driving. Hundertmark was released with tickets for Catskill Village Court.
Coxsackie
• Endangering: Tia M. McEver, 23, of Ithaca, was arrested by state police at Coxsackie at 12:03 p.m. Saturday at 11260 U.S. Route 9W on charges of introducing contraband into prison and endangering the welfare of a child, both misdemeanors, and unlawful marijuana possession, a violation. Further information was unavailable.
• Contraband: Valerie M. Tibbs, 49, of Troy, was arrested by state police at Coxsackie at 10 a.m. Saturday at 165 Plank Road and was charged with two counts of introducing contraband into prison, along with reckless endangerment and criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, all felonies. Tibbs was held pending arraignment.
New Paltz
• Drugs: Allison K. Hampton, 20, of Poughkeepsie, was arrested by state police at Highland at 12:53 a.m. Sunday on Plains Road on charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, and unlawful marijuana possession, a violation. Hampton was released with a ticket for New Paltz Town Court.
Plattekill
• DWI: Jason J. McGinnis, 39, of Highland, was arrested by state police at Highland at 8 p.m. Saturday on U.S. Route 44/state Route 55 on misdemeanor charges of drunken driving and operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol content exceeding 0.08 percent. McGinnis was released with tickets for Plattekill Town Court.
Saugerties
• DWI: Jorge Montalvo, 37, of 3044 3rd Ave., the Bronx, was arrested by Saugerties police Sunday on U.S. Route 9W in the hamlet of Barclay Heights on a misdemeanor charge of drunken driving following a traffic stop for a tail lamp and license plate lamp violation. Police said when they spoke with Montalvo they detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from his blue Jeep Cherokee, conducted a field sobriety test, and determined he was impaired. Montalvo was taken to police headquarters, where he refused to submit to a chemical breath test. Montalvo was arraigned in Saugerties Town Court and released after posting $500 bail, pending a court appearance.
• Obstruction of breathing/endangering: Joseph R. Daprile Jr., 30, of Saugerties, was arrested by Saugerties police Saturday at the Wenton Motel, 3127 U.S. Route 9W, on charges of endangering the welfare of a child, unlawful imprisonment, criminal mischief, criminal obstruction of breathing/blood circulation and criminal contempt, all misdemeanors. Police said they responded at 1:24 a.m. Saturday to a 911 report of a domestic dispute in room 18C of the motel. Authorities determined Daprile had placed his forearm against the neck of the victim, causing her to have breathing problems, took a cell phone away from a 7-year-old boy to prevent him from calling 911 and refused to let the victim and child leave the room. Authorities said that at the time of the incident, there was a no-harass order of protection in place, protecting the victim from Daprile. Daprile was arraigned in Saugerties Town Court and released after he posted $500 bail, pending a court appearance. A “no-contact” order was also issued by the court on behalf of the victim.
Tannersville
• DWI: Sean L. Maroulakos, 44, of Tannersville, was arrested by state police at Catskill at 2:20 a.m. Saturday on state Route 23 at Bloomer Road on misdemeanor charges of drunken driving and operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol content exceeding 0.08 percent. Maroulakos was released with a ticket for Tannersville Village Court.
Town of Ulster
• Drugs: Alexander J. Cook, 29 and Michelle K. McIntyre, 27, both of Saugerties, were arrested by state police at Ulster at 1:30 a.m. Sunday on Washington Avenue at Sawkill Road. Cook was charged with misdemeanor criminal possession of a controlled substance and McIntyre was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and using a vehicle without an interlock device, all misdemeanors. She was also issued tickets for operating a motor vehicle without an inspection certificate, an equipment violation (stop lights) and a motor vehicle violation (no license). Cook and McIntyre were both released with tickets for Ulster Town Court.
