On the move
Nichole Paolino, of Catskill, N.Y., has been named a Hootsuite Certified Professional and will join the social media management team at Columbia-Greene Community College, in addition to her existing duties.
Technical assistant to the vice president and enrollment management, Paolino also serves as assistant coach of the women’s basketball team. She previously served as assistant for athletics and physical education at the college.
Paolino used social media as an intern in 2017 with the Boston Breakers, a former professional U.S. soccer club. Her new certification reflects specific training to use social media tools for online communication and marketing. She completed a series of more than 40 online tutorials, covering topics ranging from engaging with prospects to running effective social media campaigns and contests, passed a 50-question exam, and is now listed on the national directory of Hootsuite Certified Professionals.
Paolino holds a bachelor’s degree in communication studies from the State University of New York at Oneonta and a master’s degree in international sport management from the State University of New York College at Cortland.
Mary F. Sheeley, of Ellenville, an associate broker with Stoeckeler Real Estate Services LLC, has earned Pricing Strategy Advisor certification from the National Association of Realtors.
The oneday course for certification is designed to give brokers ability to select appropriate comparables and make accurate adjustments, to guide sellers and buyers through the details of comparative market analyses and the underlying pricing principles that inform them, and to interact effectively with appraisers.
Julie Tierney, of New Paltz, recognized as among the highest-grossing sales representatives from Avon in the United States, was among more than 200 other representatives rewarded by the company for their performance with a trip to Walt Disney World’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.
Author Lesa Cline-Ransome and illustrator James E. Ransome, both of Rhinebeck, have been honored with a Christopher Award for “Before She Was Harriet” (Ages 6 and up, Holiday House Publishing), a book on the bravery of Harriet Tubman. It is one of 12 books for adults and young people by 19 authors and illustrators that will be celebrated on May 17 at the 69th annual Christopher Awards in New York City.
