Kingston rolls to victory against Newburgh

The Kingston High boys lacrosse team improved to 6-0 on the season with a 16-2 win over visiting Newburgh.

Chapman Parker had three goals and one assist, as undefeated Kingston High thumped Newburgh Free Academy, 16-2, in an Orange County Interschol­astic Athletic Associatio­n boys lacrosse match on Wednesday.

Drew Carpino and Jack Uhl had two goals and two assists each, while John Prizzi added two goals for the (6-0) Tigers. Ty Carpino had a goal and two assists, while Josh Timbrouck added a goal and an assist in the win.

Justin Longo, Matt Amato, Devin Hines, Kevin Collins and David Lattin scored a goal each to round out the scoring, while Nick Breithaupt and Dylan Allen combined to make three saves for Kingston.

Dan Schwarzbec­k and Terry Anderson scored goals for the Goldbacks, with Alex Mele stopping 18 shots in the loss.

Kingston hosts Pine Bush on Monday. Rondout 14, Red Hook 10

At Kyserike, Jarek Rawl had five goals and an assist to lead the (4-2) Ganders.

Spencer Sands had three goals and three assists, while Joe MacCreery added three goals for Rondout, which led 8-5 at halftime after outscoring the (1-3) Raiders 6-0 in the first quarter.

Greg Neumann and Sam Serrano tallied a goal each, while Caiden Frey contribute­d an assist in the win. Ian Houck, meanwhile, made 17 saves for Rondout.

Brian Kelly had four goals and three assists, while Hudson Miller added four goals to lead Red Hook. Tanner Guidi and Dallas Houton scored a goal each, with Gabe Yozzo stopping seven shots in the loss. Saugerties 17, Schenectad­y 10

At Saugerties, Tavin Rell had eight goals and a pair of assists and Robbie Martin six goals and three assists to lead the (3-3) Sawyers to a non-league victory.

Caleb Edwards scored twice and had three assists, and Torrey Michaels also tallied for Saugerties. Sean McGirr, Aysten Nilssen and Connor Staby each had an assist for the Sawyers.

Mike Auramidis had five goals and an assist, Antonio Busky had a hat trick and Wrick Gaud added a goal and two assists for the visitors. Joe Laurance also scored and A.J. Goura chipped in with an assist for (2-4) Schenectad­y.

Tyler Swanson had 10 saves for the Sawyers, while Gonosh Govindan made 14 for Schenectad­y. Goshen 11, Highland 10

At Goshen, Jared Cassel scored two goals, including the game-winner with 5:40 left in the contest for the (22, 1-0) Gladiators.

Dean Bowen, Branden McGrath, Chris Masker and Jacob Linderman scored two goals apiece, while Drew Raggio rounded out the scoring for Goshen, which outscored the (3-4, 3-1) Huskies 2-0 in the third quarter after the game was tied 8-8 at halftime.

Jesse Weaver had three goals and an assist, while Michael Caso (assist) and Chris Hammond scored two goals each for Highland. Jack Young, Christian Canino (assist) and Mike Cerniglia tallied a goal each, while Danny Rusk added two assists. Lenny Casabura stopped 13 shots in the loss. Wallkill 9, New Paltz 6

At Wallkill, Alex Lewis had five goals and an assist to lead the (3-2) Panthers.

Chase Hawkins had two goals and one assist, while Chad Castle (assist) and Alec MacDonald added a goal each. John LoCicero contribute­d an assist, while Dylan Jowell made 11 saves in the win.

Oscar Kay scored three goals, while Daegan Cronin added two to lead the (2-3) Huguenots. Baastian Keesen scored a goal, while Giovanni Guido stopped 20 shots in the loss.
