KINGSTON » Marjorie Jeanne Combs, 93, of Kingston, N.Y., formerly of St. Remy, N.Y., passed away peacefully, surrounded by her children, on Monday, April 16, 2018.

She was born on Oct. 27, 1924 in Mechanicvi­lle, N.Y., to the late Edward J. Lucas and Ella (Isles) Lucas. Margie was a graduate of Mechanicvi­lle High School, class of 1942. She was married to her husband of 59 years, Lynn C. Combs. Lynn passed on March 9, 2005.

Margie worked for Kingston City Schools for many years until her retirement in 1980. She was a member of the Central Rec Women’s Bowling League and St. Remy Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She was a parishione­r of Holy Name of Jesus Roman Catholic Church in Wilbur, N.Y., and Presentati­on of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church in Port Ewen, N.Y. Margie loved traveling cross country and annual vacations with her family and friends in the Adirondack­s.

She is survived by her children, Linda Combs Akins (Wes Seche), Gil E. Combs (Linda), Carol A. Bauer (Michael), and Beth Combs Keyser (Eric); her grandchild­ren, Thomas E. Akins (Bridget), David L. Akins (Beth), Robin T. Parete (John), Greg E. Combs (Jamie), Cori A. Allen (Todge), Christian P. Bauer (Hollis), Shannon B. Ashcroft (Peter), Kristen A. Gibson (Scott), Luke Keyser (Meghan); 22 great-grandchild­ren; six greatgreat-grandchild­ren; her sister-in-law, Amy O. Combs; as well as several nieces.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was predecease­d by her infant children, Donna Combs and Donald Combs, as well as her sister and brother-inlaw, Norma J. Ingraham (Duane).

Entrusted to the care of Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Ave., Kingston, N.Y. 12401. Family and friends may visit on Sunday, April 22, 2018, from 2 to 5 p.m. The funeral procession will form at the funeral home on Monday April 23, 2018, at 9:45 a.m., and proceed to Presentati­on Roman Catholic Church, Port Ewen, where at 11 a.m., a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.
