Highland, Marlboro, Roosevelt triumph

Matt Molheiro’s run-scoring safety squeeze drove in the winning run, as Highland High defeated Red Hook 8-7 in a Mid-Hudson Athletic League baseball contest on Wednesday.

Dario Divalentin­o was 3 for 3, with a triple, double, two RBI and two runs scored for the (2-1 MHAL, 2-3 overall) Huskies, while Max Vidal (two RBI) and Dylan Warren (triple, RBI) each went 2 for 4 to help Tyler Dequarto pick up the win.

Jacob Neise went 3 for 5, with two RBI, while Zack Schott was 2 for 4 with a pair of RBI for the Raiders. Marlboro 6, Rondout 3

At Marlboro, the undefeated (4-0 MHAL, 6-0 overall) Dukes capitalize­d on miscues to score five unearned runs to down Rondout Valley.

Brendan Mahusky hit a pair of triples and tossed a three-hitter with five strikeouts over 6 2/3 innings to get the win. Freddie Callo came on in the seventh to strike out a batter to get the save.

Sam Mongelli had a double and two singles, and Mike Paolo hit an RBI single for Marlboro.

Dallas Romaguera and Austin Wells each had a triple, a single and one RBI to lead Rondout. Roosevelt 13, Wallkill 2

At Wallkill, Conor Harris had three hits, including a double, while Owen Pacchiana had a triple and five RBI to lead the (4-1) Presidents.

James Cook (two singles) and Dylan Merritt (double) drove in two runs each, while Jaden DeLawder tripled to help Pat Vivalda (two runs over five innings) record the win.

Andrew Strobach (triple, RBI) and Charles Whitehouse (double) had two hits each, while Ryan Adkins took the loss for the (07) Panthers.
