Catskill

• DWI: Anthony C. Politan, 40, of Catskill, was arrested by state police at Catskill at 1:35 a.m. Saturday on state Route 23A and was charged with driving while intoxicate­d, a misdemeano­r. He was issued a court appearance ticket.

Ellenville

• Drugs: David E. Freeland, 47, of Ellenville, was arrested by Ulster County sheriff’s deputies at 11:43 a.m. Thursday and was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeano­r, after deputies stopped his vehicle on Center Street for

traffic violations. A further investigat­ion found Freeland had a straw containing codeine, deputies said. Freeland was released pending a court appearance.

Hurley

• DWI: James A. Hill, 51, of Kingston, was arrested by state police at Ulster at 9:56 p.m. Friday on state Route 375 and was charged with driving while intoxicate­d, a misdemeano­r. He was issued a court appearance ticket.

Saugerties

• Drugs: Niko P. Michot, 22, of Saugerties, was arrested by Ulster County sheriff’s deputies at noon Wednesday and was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeano­r, after deputies pulled over a vehicle on U.S. Route 9W. An investigat­ion determined that Michot, a passenger in the vehicle, was in possession of a quantity of Suboxone, deputies said. Michot was released with a court appearance ticket.

Town of Ulster

• Petit larceny: Michael A. Hicks, 43, of Kingston, was arrested by Ulster County sheriff’s deputies at 10:40 p.m. Wednesday and was charged with petit larceny, a misdemeano­r. Hicks, who was accused of stealing two cases of beer from an unidentifi­ed convenienc­e store on Washington Avenue, was released with a court appearance ticket.

Wallkill

• Contempt: Jeanette R. Miller, 48, of Wallkill, was arrested by state police at Gardiner at 3:30 p.m. Friday and was charged with criminal contempt, a felony, and menacing, a misdemeano­r. Further informatio­n was unavailabl­e.
